While flattery can be used for malicious purposes, it’s not always bad.

5 – Love Bombing

Love Bombing is a term that is often used in the context of relationships. It refers to the act of showering someone with love and attention in an attempt to win them over. Love bombing can be seen as a form of manipulation, as it is usually done with ulterior motives.

Though love bombing can be used in platonic relationships, it is most often seen in romantic ones. It is a way for one person to try and control the other by making them feel loved and needed. 

Love bombers will often take extreme measures to make their partner feel special, such as buying expensive gifts or texting and calling them.

While love bombing can initially seem flattering, it can quickly become overwhelming and suffocating.

The effects of manipulation

Most people think manipulation is unfavorable, but there can be both positive and negative effects. It all depends on the motives of the person manipulating.

If someone tries to manipulate you into doing something you don’t want to do, it will have a negative effect. But if someone is trying to help you or make your life better, the results can be positive.
